Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Imonf Ire was raised under the cerulean, star-spangled wing of Celesti'iya the storyteller. While others were fascinated by her melodious voice, it was the rich language of her stories that drew Imonf in. Before his scales even donned their fiery hue, he was spending all day in the library and sitting for hours upon end listening to Ghoti drone on about grammar.

Pulling ideas from books and Celesti'iya's stories, he began to write his own story. But despite his intelligence and creativity, he was born with a mental gimp that made the words he wrote so beautifully in his mind incomprehensible on paper. The rules of language that Ghoti had drilled into him vanished and spelling seemed like a foreign concept. Even his name, I'm on Fire, was misspelled as Imonf Ire. But he laughed lightheartedly at the garbled mess. Imonf turned down offers to try and fix him, insisting that it was a part of him. He even changed his name so he wouldn't forget his handicap, that it made him stronger.
