Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Koashai, a warrior of the winter solstice, has been much adored by the dragons of this scroll for quite some time. Sparring with his brother Dykim since their hatchling days, the two are some of the most capable warriors on the scroll. Many females have vied for his attention, but he holds his honor first and politely declined each one. All this time, little did the scroll's females know, he's had his eye on one beautiful female since the beginning. While his brother didn't make this fear easy to overcome with his frequent teasing, it also made Koshai love her even more. He's kept his word and built a solid foundation in the scroll on which to stand, too shy to ask her to be his mate. After much time he eventually tested the waters and asked her on a moonlit flight, and much to his surprise she said yes. Her graceful movements through the clouds and chill night air only grew his affection for her, and the two have since gone on midnight dances through the air every Saturday.
