Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s kind of shaky on its feet and enjoys playing in puddles.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Meimei or just Mei for short is one of the very rare hatchling who voluntarily choose to be frozen in hatchling state. Unlike the other hatchlings, she is very quite and prefer to stay out of trouble most of the time although sometimes she does play a few harmless pranks on others. Her small stature and her special ability to turn into a puddle of water or simply making herself become clear and invisible makes her the perfect choice as a spy for the group.
