Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.
She kills no one but those who displease her.
Violet eyes, violet scales, but a heart that has not known real life. Those that displease - who abuse her, who distemper her, who try and make her do what THEY want - they all meet her fangs.
She isn't ruthless. She was just raised that way. It's the only thing she knows. In fact, she doesn't even know what she's doing. They just stop, and that's all she wants. That's all she needs. She just doesn't know.
