Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Sweet Miracle was nothing more than a hatchling, something very terrible happened. His father feared for his life very greatly. Sweet Miracle was much skinnier and weaker than his siblings. He could hardly flap his wings and he grew so sick he couldn't move at all. His family thought he was dead for sure. It was the sickness, a terrible sickness, it had already brought hundreds of hatchlings and eggs to their downfall. Sweet Miracle's name was originally Whiteclaw. When he was sick his family made a decision- they had to give him a new name to honor him and his spirit after he died, a tradition. His name was Sweet- for all the kind things he had done in his short life. Despite having the worst case of sickness ever seen- he survived. His family added Miracle to the end of his name. Later the sickness was named Whiteclaw- for the old name of the only dragon who had ever survived it.
