Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gast is obsessed with knowledge; he's always leaving the clan for long periods of time to chase the answers. Seeing Gast around the cave is actually quite rare... He'll only come back during mating season to see his wife, Ifalna, then with her blessing he'll disappear again.

This used to worry Kaini, the clan leader, but she's since learned it's best to leave Gast alone. He always returns, and tends to be a voice of reason during squabbles between the other dragons.

Because of his travels, he is actually quite intelligent, despite never being around. Ifalna has picked up quite a bit of his wisdom though, and she often helps Kaini around the Cave.
