Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Star-crossed, independent and vigilant, Darkillt embodies the night itself with her love of long, cold nights and watchful gaze. As a hatchling, she always seemed a little off. She'd watch the night sky, but be more fascinated with the things that did move in the dark, fireflies, washed up seashells, and other dragons whose scales caught the moonlight, stealing her attention with it. She'd find herself attempting to replicate a dragon's silhouette unto her scales, but grew upset when she learned it was not possible to do so. She needed starlight, like the rest of the nebula dragons did.

She left her clutch before maturity, not uncommon for her species, and lived a life peacefully observing fireflies until she met a Ridgewing who was daring enough to fly during a moonless night. He seemed flustered at the encounter, calling her a lovely sight and revealing his wings bashfully. She decided she liked him, and attempted, but failed to mimic the pattern of his wings.
