Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Calsuray is a seer, able to scry the past, present, and future using the crystals that line the walls and ceiling of her cave, though she is unable to foretell the future for those close to her or for Highrock Weyr.  She gladly told fortunes for dragons and humans alike, and was a respected member of Highrock until Olinbar became leader.  When he forbade her to tell fortunes for humans, feeling this put the weyr in danger, she refused—the entrance to her cave was outside the mountains surrounding Highrock, and it would take a very determined human indeed to fight his way through the tunnels to the rest of the weyr.  Olinbar then had the tunnels collapsed, exiling Calsuray.  

While Calsuray hopes Olinbar will someday relent, she doesn't regret her decision.  She's doing quite well without a weyr, since the local humans are glad to trade food for fortunes and she now has Suril to hunt for her.
