Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot, but when it’s awake, it’s quite a handful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Poodly is as sweet as honey and about as slow as molasses. She was frozen for the intention of keeping Soodly, her frozen counterpart, out of trouble. When she was born, her gentle kindness struck everyone as a wonderful balance for the trouble-making Soodly. But in all honesty, Poodly is useless for this job. She cannot grasp elaborate concepts, takes her time meandering from place to place (even in emergencies), and is as sensitive as can be. Everyone must be careful with her delicate feelings. However, she always means well and is perhaps the most kind, good-hearted hatchling the other Pillows have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is sweet, albeit oblivious, but after all, ignorance is bliss!
