Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Taeska is a female black dragon, one of those who, unlike many black dragons, appreciates reading, writing, mathematics and such arts over battle, bloodshed, and similar. Unfortunately, her interest has an inverse relationship with her natural talent, and she struggles with much of even the simpler problems and concepts Numoriar lays out. She will often listen in on his lectures to hatchlings, trying to grasp the concepts, and though her progress is slow, she does get better. Unlike in other caves, nobody teases her and she sees little reason to be embarrassed, because of two things: few dragons would consider, within her cave, being as nasty and callous as that, and very few dragons make such impressive efforts, especially black ones.

Taeska is fond of short stories lacking in especial complexity, turkey meat, and basking on rocks during summer. She is a kind, somewhat shy, very gentle creature, and raises her children to share her interest in the mental arts.
