Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Vanishing Gem, when flying at night, is often mistaken as a star due to her color and flight pattern. Her mate is Fading Skies Dorkface. She is the spy of the scroll. From where she flies, she can see anything and everything, and when she comes to another dragon from the scroll, she always has amazing stories to tell. Because of things she has seen, she is afraid of getting lost and stays where she can see her mate. The only time she is known to go out of seeing range is when she is checking on her extended family and her children.
