Fire Gem Dragons are a colorful, flamboyant breed often found in hot climates, particularly around active volcanoes. Their broad tails store the flames they breathe, which are colored by the heavy amount of minerals in the water they drink. These dragons come in a variety of colors, and will collect shiny trinkets and stones that match their own coloration. Despite their hoarding tendencies, though, Fire Gem dragons are social and will often congregate in groups and show off their collections while fawning over the stones their friends and rivals have gathered, occasionally arranging trades.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Mercurial Subspecies knew a girl

And when he caught her scent, his heartbeat skipped

But one day, Ojvun's grandpa came and shipped

As a mutamore is well-equipped.

At first the thought of him made his lips curl

But when they had a family, he resigned.

There was no use to fight against her choice.

One day she came alone. Her eyes were moist

And there was desperation in her voice:

She'd broken up with Pikshh, but how she longed

To be there for the precious egg she'd laid

And how she struggled with mistakes she'd made.

MS chose to rally to her aid.

He talked to both and helped them make a plan

For how they both could help their child grow

It took some time, the talks were hard and slow

But at the end, there was so much to show!

These things don't always work, but when they can,

Everyone is happy in the end:

Pikshh has freedom, Ojvun gets her hoard,

Their daughter sees them both and is adored

And though it's sometimes tense, there is concord.

Some broken ties were never meant to mend.
