Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A most cunning and unpleasant creature, this female makes her home in thick forests, where she sets traps for the unwary. Hunters searching for quarry or travelers passing through soon find themselves the victims, with snares and pits and poisoned spikes hidden just beneath the leaf litter awaiting them at every turn. Those who travel in groups are usually swiftly saved by their comrades, but those foolish enough to travel her woods alone soon find only the pale dragon answering their calls for help, dragging them away and making an easy meal out of her crippled catches. But while she is thus vicious and gruesome, she is still quite a small dragon, and would be an easy enough thing to slay for a team of determined hunters... if only it weren't for the other dragon within her domain. A most dangerous passing male Marrow has recently taken an interest in her, and so long as he's courting her there will be no hunt; the locals can only pray he'll wander on once the breeding season ends.
