It’s an undead baby dragon, produced by a failed magical spell. It probably would be cute if it weren’t partially decayed.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Found alone and dying on All Hallows Eve, Brahms of Kestra was taken in by the clan—but it would be to no avail as the injuries were too severe. Rather than suffering in pain and misery, Kestra himself decided to take the young hatchling's life. Yet as the knife fell and the hatchling look up at the clan's patron with sadness, Kestra was overcome with regret and grief at the life he had just taken—even if it was with best intentions. And so, using the arcane knowledge garnered from his peers and with the strength of his own compassion and heartache, Brahms was resurrected by Kestra— now immortal.
