Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Grave Blade, named for the razor-sharpness of his stone scales, is a powerful and unmovable warrior. He lives for his duty alone, which is to fight anyone who dares to attack the Nuine Castle. He was raised by one of the knights of the castle and eventually became an invaluable ally. He sits there by the doors of the castle, looking like a simple stone statue to most people, and if someone comes near with violent intentions, he stations himself right in front of the doors, ready to attack with his claws at any time. He is also very powerful on the battlefield, able to take out about half of the opponent's army with one swipe of his sharp claws, and his heavy stone body makes him almost impossible to kill with conventional weapons.
