Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

They tell Bloom Doom that she doesn't have magic. Her type just doesn't have it because they never needed it. But that's not fair! She envies all of the other hatchlings who practice spells and stuff, and she thinks that one day, she'll be able to as well. It's only "fair". Bloom Doom waits (semi-)patiently for the day she "gets magickified" and can kill things from afar, but she still exercises her vines in case the naysaying party poopers are right.
