Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born of blood and thunder, Beoriaz is a warrior to be feared. When his egg was laid, he had one full blooded sibling, laid in the same clutch, but they died while still in the egg. Hs egg was abandoned to die, only to catch the eye of a novice dragontender who took him as his first egg. Reluctant to grow for fear, Beoriaz was the last of his new nestmates to fully mature. Wen he did, though, he was a credit to his long lineage. He possesses many of the best traits of his ancestors. The magic of his magi dragon grandfather, his mother's skill in battle, and the majestic appearance of his father, combined with the natural ferocity of his dark green kinsbeasts makes him a difficult force to stop.
