And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hitoshizuku lives among the other frozen hatchlings listed upon Shadowfrostt's scroll. It is close to a Neverland, neither she nor her friends growing up for all the time together. However, they respect each others' space and also spend quite a lot of time apart.<br/>Shizu, as she is known, loves the water as any water dragon would. Having not grown large enough to warrant her own lake or the ocean, she lives in a pond near the other two's cave. And she loves it.
