White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While most adult dragons are mute save for the occasional hiss and roar, Tierar is a strange and wonderful exception. When this otherwise quiet and contemplative dragon encounters another who is hurt or weakened by illness, Tierar will begin to sing an ethereal, unique melody seemingly infused with powerful magic. No two of his songs have ever been alike, but those who listen are filled with thoughts of new life and the miracle of a dragon's existence. Somehow, the power of Tierar's song can bring about a recovery in all but the most fatally wounded of dragons. Though his voice is a rare and beautiful one, he refuses to sing for any purpose other than to heal, no matter how persuasively he is asked.
