Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Jasorz doesn't really care for the members of his family, finding them to be rude or insincere (or boring in Tout-de-Suite's case). He can usually be found with other playful hatchlings, coming up with games and riddles for them. He gets most of his ideas from his best friend, a frozen sunset hatchling named Nollcha. Once the rules are complete, Jasorz presents them to the other hatchlings, much to their praise and enjoyment.
