Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

While she was still in the egg, Britt Britt was discovered by the human owner of the clan. The owner took care of the egg until it hatched, and then she gave the egg to Kolinaa, the clan's den mother for the hatchlings. The owner usually lets Kolinaa come up with the names for the random hatchlings that the owner happens to find in or around the cave. However, the owner suggested to Kolinaa to name the hatchling, if it was a girl, Britt Britt, due to the strange dirt marking next to it when the owner found it: BB. Kolinaa loved the name and luckily, Britt Britt was a girl. Now, hatched and frozen by request, Britt Britt plays with all the other frozen hatchlings and enjoys the carefree life of hatchling-hood.
