Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The Moderately Ancient Mariner, in his callow youth, thought an albatross looked delicious... and bit it.  The albatross, affronted by this rude behavior, bit MAM (as he is known to his friends) very hard on the nose and gave him a very stern talking-to about the impropriety of dining on whatever happens to pass by.  MAM was duly chastised and blushes every time he considers biting anything other than a tomato ever since.  It is thus that, while there are bite-able little dragons everywhere around MAM all the time, he began to think of them as offering not a drop to drink.  He is a sullen sort with low amour-propre, though when he's feeling ravenous he does guiltily bite a vole or two, and he eagerly watches Truly Bloody (an exciting new stage play at the king's court) while clipping his talons on Sunday evenings in the summer, hoping that maybe someone will take the hint and make the kind of alchemical plasma drinks that are really the most interesting part of the show, to him.
