Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Despite being as black as outer space, it has a few bright patterns on it.

And look! It has grown wings and its scales have gained beautiful patterns. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

User Description

Runaway Star uses her name as a conversation starter. Other dragons would say, "Runaway Star. That sounds cute (or cool, or weird, or whatever). You must run a lot", and Runaway Star would answer by explaining what a runaway star is—a star that is moving very quickly relative to the average motion of stars in the system, at a direction away from something she calls stellar association... If everyone hasn't lost interest yet, she explains other high-velocity stars and stellar kinematics, and if people are still around to listen, Runaway Star then opens her spiel to involve galactic astronomy as a whole and what she wishes to study during her down time, after which there is usually nobody listening to her anymore, and if there is, she's found a friend.
