Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Not that Moguri particularly cared, though, since it meant he was left alone pretty much all the time, and it quickly became clear that bullying him only resulted in severe pain for the bully.

But that was before Duren came onto the scene, and the Albino's world was turned upside down when he and the shimmering Prince first met. It was love at first sight for Moguri, his infatuation bringing out a goofy, playful side as he tried to woo the Prince.

Granted, most of these attempts went horribly wrong in some way, but that didn't stop him, just like the jeers of the rest of the flock, disgusted that a lowly commoner would DARE try to court the Prince, were nothing but empty noise to the Albino.

Now any who dare say wrong about the goofy Albino are met with shimmering teeth. Nobody speaks ill of the Crown Prince's consort.
