Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Running a library may seem an odd career choice for a yulebuck, but for Sakuha, it is perfect. He wants to give the gift of knowledge without burdening anyone with storing immense hoards of books. Because he is shy, he spends most of his time inventorying and reshelving books. The smell of peppermint often lingers among the shelves after he has refilled them. Other times, he is in the back room, mending damaged books and labelling new books with their shelving information so others can find them more easily. He cares about the library's services and has a box for written comments which he reads through regularly.
