White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Major's family has a very weird conception of how titles work, thus her unique name. Major is also part of a very special prophecy: "One day a dragon will be born of a perfectly balanced heritage; an ultimate healer, who will deliver dragonkind of all disease."

If one believes in such prophecy is debatable, but Major has found out that a group of human wizards has done its best over the centuries to MAKE it come true—manipulating "coincidental" meetings between adequate candidates or straight-out arranging matings. A part of her feels violated by this manipulation of herself and her ancestors, but she also sees the benefits IF the prophecy would come true, so she has resigned herself to pick a suitable mate and send her firstborn daughter off to mate with the chosen candidate. She just tries to decide if she should be honest with her future offspring or spare the little one the knowledge of her already determined fate.
