Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

AyE50 decided to explore some ancient ruins carved into the edge of the continental shelf. She soon became lost. Living on the many fish and invertebrates that lived in the dark, stale waters of the tunnel and chewed on artefacts of a lost civilisation, she travelled aimlessly and grew lonely. Eventually, she bumped his tail against a hollow-sounding ceiling. Intrigued, she forced his way through the rock and discovered an air-filled weyr, with piles of items scattered about. They all had a strange proportion of the size of the pile to the object in it, which intrigued her. She counted the items in one nearby pile. "one, two, three..."

The cave's owner, a nocturne by the name of 50P4K, came in as she was reaching the end of the pile. "You better not have stolen any of those," she warned.

"Don't worry. Haven't taken a thing."

"There should be fifty shoes in that heap."

"Aye, fifty."

That was the beginning of the two dragons' friendship, and how AyE50 got the name she now goes by.
