Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Annette likes to collect shiny objects and is known to go to any lengths to get what she wants. Annette builds elaborate nests made up of the shiniest stones, pendants and gems she could find or steal. She has even tried to coax a gold dragon into her nest, just to decorate it. One day, while flying she saw a dazzling light under the water and dove for it. To her surprise it wasn't a gem, but the antenna of a deep sea dragon; Sebastien. Sebastien, has been her closet friend, and mate ever since. Occasionally Annette will try to grab Sebastien's antenna and take it for herself. But when her tugging fails, she is just as content to stare into its glow for hours.
