Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Philotext is working on an incantation that summons coffee. His plan is to put the spell into a book so that anyone who reads the text out loud will conjure a piping-hot cup o' joe. He is constantly tweaking his spell so that even individuals with no training can read the spell and cast it with whatever intonation and dialect comes naturally to them. This research means he is constantly generating coffee, far more than any dragon (with the exception of Tktaka, the coffee-dependant whiptail postdragon in Nworset) could drink. He used to give free coffee to anyone who asked, but then he got a research agreement to supply coffee for Star Doe's Coffee in exchange for all the funds he needs to keep his research going. Many Star Doe's drinkers choose "Philotext's Brew" at their favourite coffee shop, and Philotext himself has become known far and wide as the "java script".
