Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kusuh is the abbot of the Brotherhood of the Bloodmoon. The order which only allows male Moonstones to join has devoted itself to the following of the teaching of H'mglo-Lun, the god of the red moon. H'mglo-Lun demands of his followers that they stop any kind of violence between dragons by any means necessary, so Kusuh trains his brothers in the extensive use of magic, focusing on binding and submission spells. Kusuh also has decreed that none of the order's findings may be shared with any dragon outside of it. This has led to tense relations with Delirium's Academy as well as the Priestesses of the Silver Moon, but Kusuh is far too distrusting of anyone not sworn to peace the same way he is.
