Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Death Wing is a dragon who goes the full ten miles when it comes to his rank. He is the current leader of the cave's main defense, The Black Magic. The Black Magic is a large group of black dragons which are similar to an army that protects the cave. The Black Magic does not include the messenger dragons or the look out dragons, it's only the fighting force. Death Wing takes his job very seriously and is almost always consumed with his work. Death Wing earned his position through proving himself in battle against the previous leader. His strength and accuracy and, of course, his reputation of being able to win up against just about any dragon out there has earned him the name of Death Wing. His original name is unknown to anyone but him because it has long sense been forgotten.
