Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Apex Zinogre survived a frightening virus that caused animals to break out into an uncontrollable berserking frenzy. The virus caused his fur to gain a violet discoloration and his cries to become shrill and harsh. His hide even became as hard as mithril, virtually unable to be harmed. Having overcome the frenzy after a fortnight, Apex Zinogre's magical powers increased by tenfold, allowing him to generate terrifying mana storms. He became severely aggressive towards everything he was near, including potential mates. Similar to Hardcore Zinogre he also has a symbiotic relationship with insects that generate electricity. The insects were also inflicted with the virus and their ability to generate electricity became hazardous to almost everything around them. Apex Zinogre inhabits a cliffside near the warm, storm-inflicted eastern oceans of Valkemare. With his ability to generate mana storms, the area in which Apex Zinogre inhabits is extremely dangerous during seasonal squalls.
