Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Hexadecimal Mage was a proud warrior. Undefeated, he was respected across vast lands. But dark magic tainted his heart and bled through his veins until respect turned to terror. Inadvertently, Hex had ensured he'd be alone and became bitter about the fate he was suffering. Until a Black Tea edged close to him one day as he basked in the sunlight and warmed his scales. She offered him some meat. He gratefully took it and ate it all.

Then there was darkness.

When he woke, he was in a cavern below the earth. The Black Tea sat close. "There is a great dragon named Dimar. She has told me that I belong with you. My name is Shadlok," her smile was beautiful, but as Hex made to move forward, chains bit into his limbs. "Stay, my love," Shadlok whispered, as if he had a choice.

He has been held captive for years and longs to warm his frozen blood in the sun again, but Shadlok is afraid he will leave her and his children she has borne. He resents his prisoner status but knows she cannot let him go.
