Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Azfac picked the wrong dragon to annoy. Most dragons would have considered him a mere nuisance, but Xetwir had always been good at holding grudges. Now, all that keeps Azfac out of the seragamma's claws are his speed and wits. Never one to learn from his mistakes, Azfac will still occasionally stop to taunt Xetwir when far enough ahead, and so far it's only Xetwir's tendency to not think his plans through that has kept Azfac from meeting a nasty end.
