Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Orifold is a bit odd, compared to the rest of the pack. It is utterly silent, except for the occasional rustle when it moves, and as far its scrollmates can tell it has no gender whatsoever. Thus it is not included in the daily courting and squabbling over mates.

It seems content with its condition, however, and spends most of its time inspecting eggs for minor cracks and chips. It uses its fanned-out tailtip to gently polish the eggs, and seems to get quite excited when hatchlings arrive—though how the pack can sense this is anyone's guess.

It is on the whole a strange, queerly ornamental creature, and while it serves no true purpose whatsoever, its scrollmates are fond of it and do not let it come to harm, guarding it against high winds, sharp edges, and the occasional fire hazard. Perhaps it is a form of art which the rest of the dragons cannot emulate, but can only appreciate.
