Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The son of 8P and AT LEAST IT ISN'T TWILIGHT has more than a few issues. His grandmother on his mother's side had a terrible case of the blight known as THE DUMB. While his mother appeared to escape the disease, it resurfaced in Edward—it was painfully clear from a young age that this dragon had THE DUMB, as he believed that vampires were completely invincible and supposed to sparkle. He also thought that lady dragons liked to be stalked.

His grandparents on his father's side contributed to his sheer oddity as well. D8, the pessimistic Autumn, and 8O, the jumpy White, were named after their demeanors. Edward has a double dose of both—his shock at everything and constant moping combined to augment THE DUMB with a heavy undertone of angst.

Having said that, Edward is completely insane—and somehow, through sheer willpower, he has managed to sparkle. Therefore, he is the embodiment of his mother's deepest nightmares—that THE DUMB in the form of her son would come to haunt her.
