Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As his name suggests, Ballistophobe has an overwhelming fear of projectiles. While most dragons fight back when attacked by humans, he is well-known for fleeing when his foe start shooting or throwing things at him. This characteristic make Ballistophobe completely useless in hunting or fighting, and the clan has no option other than leaving him in the cave and feed him. Ballistophobe is very depressed for his uselessness, but Fluffy Christmas Angel, a Christmas dragon, does not mind about his flaw, and is always caring for him.
