Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It's a tragedy to a Mint to adore the sky and love adventure. Avis has no wings to fly and his weak body doesn't allow him to survive the harsh life outside his clan. The name 'Avis', which means 'bird', is what he calls himself as an symbol of his dream: to become as free as a bird and follow the wind to faraway lands. Driven by his fate, Avis had once thought that all Mint dragons were just pitiful creatures that crawled the earth. However, one day a black female, Cameo, fell in love with him at first sight and Avis's life turned into a new page. Cameo devotes all her life to her mate. She becomes his wings and she helps him to explore the world. Now Avis is confident that he is the happiest dragon in the clan.

Avis is as green as a Mint has to be. Nevertheless, on his right side there is a white, heart-shaped area of skin. His mate loves the birthmark but Avis always thinks that a cloud-shaped one would be much better.
