Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kai Dorkface lives on the island of Molehu. He received his name like all other silvers: as a hatchling, his looks, personality, and actions were inspected by the elders and then summed up in a word in Hawaiian. For him, it was Kai, meaning 'sea'. Kai was found by a silver dragon who was fishing out in the middle of the ocean. Kai was swimming in a pod of whales and was terrified of the larger silver, refusing to be caught until he was exhausted. Kai was brought back to the island where he grew up as a normal silver. If you ask Kai about his past, all he will say that he remembers bobbing along the waves in his egg, then being raised by the whales. He has an extremely close tie with the water, living almost entirely in the ocean and is rumored to be able to speak with the whales. Though Kai is a handsome and kind dragon, most of the silvers in the tribe avoid him simply because he has an "odd" vibe about him and everyone gets the feeling that he is not telling them something.
