Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is rather pale in color and likes to sleep while balancing on one leg.

And look! It has grown wings and a large head crest! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Galapagos has a bone to pick with whomever tricked him into not growing up.  Being the butt of a spitfire yard-decoration joke isn't funny, at least not to a tiny flamingo wyvern who, while he might not ever get to be fully grown, still has all the attitude of an adult of his breed.  And all the time he will hold his place between the boundaries of the tribes of the spits, he will dream a thousand schemes to make them pay for this humiliation.
