It’s an undead baby dragon, produced by a failed magical spell. It probably would be cute if it weren’t partially decayed.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

I Want My Innocence Back is one of Phoenix's dragons. Although she is a hatchling, she is one of the oldest among the clan, trapped in her small body by the immortality that accompanies her undeath.

Innocence was once a horse dragon hatchling, and a particularly weak and sickly one; for this reason, Phoenix kept her under special, isolated care in her own study. Unfortunately, that was not enough to keep the young dragon from meeting her end. It was young Trouble Magnet who attempted to resurrect the tiny corpse, as she was the first to discover it had died, when she sneaked into the study unannounced.

Innocence still spends her days in Phoenix's study, apparently loyal to her own deathbed. She tends to act a bit incoherent, staring blankly when spoken to, murmuring nonsensical things, or generally ignoring attempts at communication, but there have been times when she has surprised the others by appearing at an elder council, or advising her keeper with quiet, secret words.
