Its dorsal fin has grown larger, and it rarely surfaces anymore. It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
Despite being a Deepsea dragon, Wyrmy is young enough that she still feels more comfortable in lower-pressure heights of the ocean. She often accompanies Feaz to the higher regions of the ocean where she enjoys playing with Bluna and Tidal hatchlings, but she is far more cautious than her brother and avoids the uppermost layers of pressure and the weird dragons living there, like Shallow Waters and Shimmers. She has heard very frightening stories about those "almost land-dwelling Weirdos" from her mum and prefers to stay way clear of them.
