Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This playful hatchling thrives comfortably in the deep river that feeds the great Lake. In her cove, the majestic Cumberland Falls roars over the cliffs onto the rocks below. This hatchling adores the cold water, peaceful roar, and smooth rocks of the relatively deep river. On an overlook at the top of the cliff, residents of the nearby towns come to view the extraordinary cascade. They have claimed to see this hatchling waving to them and showing off its swimming skills. The people have given this hatchling the name Cumberland Falls because of its beautiful home.
