Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raya is an odd sort of Dragon. She seems to be very fearful of most males and if given the choice she will avoid males she does not know. Because of this she is not required to mate with a male she does not know. She was received into this cave when still she was about the equivalence of 13 in human years. She had been raised by her father. But she came to this cave when they had learned that Larcisine, her mother, was here. Her position in the cave is more of a normal member. She is still considered young and treated as such, the only diference between her and the young dragons of the cave is she has free will and has been granted her name.
