Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nuit Brillante is a master of the skies. His senses are finely tuned to the flow of air around him, and his wings are always shifting to let him soar ever higher, ever faster. With his mate, their hunting skills are unmatched- they rarely go hungry. The two of them return to their den as the scent of night begins to fade at dawn, and Esprit Nocturne falls asleep against him almost immediately; it cannot be helped, for she is forever a night spirit. But Nuit Brillante stays awake watching the brilliance of the night give way to morning light, until he is claimed by sleep. No matter. Everything will begin again by next evening.
