Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mistress Flicker is the head of the hatchlings. If any of them need help and don't feel comfortable approaching any of the adults, they will probably come to Flicker. When hatchlings bring a problem to her, they can be sure of help. However, this doesn't mean she doesn't like to have fun every now and then. She is as playful and adventurous as any other hatchling, despite her high position. She loves exploring the forests and jungles near her cave and often plays up in the treetops, enjoying the view.

Her favourite season is Autumn, because that is the time when there are lots of storms. She finds the sound of rain very calming. However, she really gets excited when lightning starts flashing. During this weather, her own lightning feels stronger. If, during a rainy day, someone wants to find Flicker, they can usually find her sitting beneath a rocky outcrop outside her cave, listening to the rain, lightning flickering across her body.
