Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon was eternally young, this so happened by a fogging spell gone awry. He wailed at the thought of being young whilst every dragon around him grew and became older. He would always have elders. He would never be listened to. He was just a small speck in the history of dragonkind. He began to wander about the world, during Holiday Times searching for a purpose. Some would see him on his wanderings and think he sprang forth from the leaves themselves. One day he came upon an elite band of hatchling formed to bring joy to other, the Cheerbringers, and he was asked to join their group.

Filled with joy, the nameless hatchie accepted, for he had found a true purpose. The group decided to call him Thorn, for the silent way he came and protection he provided many times over. So now, his name is Thorn, Thorn of the Leaves.
