Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The humans who eagerly await the latest installment of Legends of a Lost World would be surprised to learn that the author of the stories is, in fact, a dragon.  Usuju had always wanted a wider audience than could be found among the dragons of Stoneheart Weyr, even if Carnegie was the best listener one could ask for, and finally realized he could find what he sought among humans.  He slips away once a month to dictate the latest installment to a human scribe, the only one Usuju has entrusted with his secret, and is careful not to let the rest of the weyr know where he's gone, for fear they'd disapprove of his actions.  Usuju will never receive the fame he deserves for his writing, but he doesn't mind, as he's content to know his stories are out there for all to enjoy.
