Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Panaki loves all her friends dearly. The only problem being that she has so many that she can only keep in marginal contact with most of them, often having several telepathic conversations simultaneously  to keep at least up to date with the most important updates in her friends' lives. This has often lead to some confusion among her friends when she answers a Pygmy friend with a human sentence while telling her human friend all about her plans for the next day that her Royal Blue sister-in-law asked after. Well, it's still better than missing her friends altogether.
