Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pao Mo Nai You (Whipped Cream) is just as energetic as his hatch-brother Bian Zi Ta but a whole lot sweeter. When he's not being bullied by Bian Zi into making air raids on the water dragons in the river below, he spends his time either chasing the hatchlings around their subcave or using his whip tail to scythe tender reeds for Lao Tai down in the delta. Since the reeds are also a delicacy for the water walkers, it takes a lot of speed and skill to evade these swift defenders. Pao Mo is the Dragon Cave's acknowledged master reed-thief.
